Quick Summary of Bad Guys 2
After the events from the first Bad Guys movie, Mr. Wolf and the crew are trying to enjoy life with their new aim: to be good guys. As it turns out, going good is much more difficult than expected. No wants to hire these former villains, but when an opportunity to help the police with a new criminal outbreak, the bad guys use their expertise to help. This doesn’t go as straight-forward as expected as they get re-connected to those who are living the life of crime.
Bad Guys 2 Parent Review
Bad Guys 2 is just as fun and edgy as the original, with maybe a few bits here and there that push the limit a bit. First, let’s dive into some non-spoiler warnings. This movie has much of the same cartoon violence and peril of the first movie. Near the beginning of the movie, an angry driver yells out “Jacka$$”. This is just a random one off curse word and doesn’t get repeated, but was confusingly unnecessary.

There is a subplot revolving Snake and his new girlfriend. Although nothing too egregious, there are some odd make out sessions that are mostly just played for laughs. Nothing overtly sexual occurs during these scenes. There is also a romance brewing between Mayor Foxington and Mr. Wolf, but nothing noteworthy needs to be pointed out with their relationship.
At the climax of the film, it is implied that all of the group has died in a space shuttle crash landing. It is pretty quickly revealed that they are all okay, but their deaths have been faked. Older viewers will probably be able to tell that they aren’t dead pretty quickly, but younger viewers may struggle with this concept a bit more. If your kid (or yourself) are able to handle these topics and scenes, Bad Guys 2 provides a fun watching experience that will certainly send you for a ride!

Everyone has Experiences that are Worth Something
The beginning of the movie revolves around the bad guys struggling to enter back into regular society. By the end of the film, they’ve learned that they have unique skills that can solve unique problems.
Everybody Deserves a Second Chance
No matter how much bad the bad guys did, they still needed a second chance, but they were pushed back against on many areas, which makes it even more difficult to go do good.
Redemption takes time and trust
The bad guys learned the hard way that redemption arcs take a lot of work to prove. One must build of trust over time.
