What Age is the Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Made For?
The main thing to know about the Paw Patrol movies is that they are more intense than a regular Paw Patrol episode. In an episode, Chickaletta might be stuck on the other side of a bridge that has broken down. But in the movies, there would be a massive lightning storm and the bridge would be on fire. The team would still succeed, but it’ll be a little more suspenseful.
If your kiddo can handle the first two movies, they can absolutely handle this one. If you’re nervous about how they’ll do, I would talk through the plot with them ahead of time. So they know what to expect and know that the team will win in the end.
In our theater we had itty bitty babies and grandparents. A majority of the theater loved the movie. There were some littles that struggled sitting through the movie, and some that struggled through the more intense parts. But I think I only saw a couple of tears. Overall it is a great addition to the Paw Patrol universe and younger sibling and grandparent safe!

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Parent Review
Before we even stepped into the movie, I had heard that the Backstreet Boys did the main song for this movie and was excited about that. It’s always nice to hear old favorites sing in our kids stuff. Like Fall Out Boy singing the Spidey and His Amazing Friends songs. And I am always impressed with the amount of people they get to do voice cameos in these movies. It’s fun trying to figure them out without looking all of them up.
I also love how Paw Patrol has always embraced diversity and given us plenty of things to discuss. This movie features Rex in a wheelchair. But the wheelchair isn’t a focus or deterent for him. Height and size is a big deal for kids and Paw Patrol constantly reminds them that you aren’t to small to keep up with bigger kids. And you aren’t too big to be caring, gentle, and helpful.
Paw Patrol has made fun of itself for marketing and merchandise before. And while they certainly are not the first franchise to constantly rebrand to sell merch, they are REALLY good at it. Of course the kids are going to want the dino themed cars and suites. And goodness, I even want a plush little Rhubarb dinosaur!!
Overall, it’s kid and grandparent approved and a great addition to the Paw Patrol universe.
